	The Early Learning Communityprogramme,aims to make a positive and sustainable difference to the lives of children growing up in poverty in communities across the United Kingdom, by taking a whole-system and evidence-based approach to improving early learning outcomes. 
I joined The Early Learning Community as a system map designer, whereby I and a colleague designed fifteen maps which were used with community members to analyse the systems surrounding the four different communities.
	I then continued on without my colleague working closely with the communities to create a visual identity, concept graphics and reports to share with stakeholders and prospective partners. When designing the visual identity, I worked closely with the community leads, who reflected community feedback on different iterations to ensure I captured the right visual narrative to represent them.

The focus of our residency&#38;nbsp; explored how Design can become more effective by creating opportunities for diverse voices to engage in more expansive thinking.

	Founded in 2015 infoNation is a growing team of creative digital, design and data professionals united by a strong belief that people data, technology and machines can work smarter together and make the world a better place.
I designed infoNation’s visual brand, design content and built their website. I worked closely with the founder, Stuart and we decided to build a visual identity that reflected an open and tactile approach to the world of data. I therefore made the logo out of wood, and we used the making of the logo shots for an image content library. &#38;nbsp;
I designed a template for&#38;nbsp; reports and consulted on design ideas.&#38;nbsp; I worked closely with the CEO to understand his clients and his approach, which directed my design approach, and I attended a Lloyds datathon as a design consultant to gain a deeper understanding of Data Science and Analytics.

	The Children’s Communities programme emerged from a shared commitment across communities in London, Manchester and North Tyneside, to improve the life chances of children and young people in their areas.

I worked closely with Paul Perkins, who at the time was Head of Local Systems Change, in interviewing the communities and stakeholders involved in person. 
	In preparation, we worked with Collaborate CIC, a Social Change consultancy, to design workshops for mapping and analysing the different communities' progress, and future prospects. The workshop format meant we conducted consistent conversations across the communities, which resulted in measurable outcomes in capturing their progress and future road maps.
Having co-facilitated the conversations, I was able to assist Paul with synthesising the community's insights, whilst I designed graphics and concept diagrams for the outcome report.
